Blackford Bi-Weekly Number 9

KS1
In PE we have finished our chocolate dance which we named from the rainforest to the factory! We have looked at non fiction texts about hedgehogs and created our own information sheets which are going on display.

KS2
All of KS2 were split into teams of 4 and have been learning and developing skills involved in designing, creating and producing their very own chocolate product, complete with chocolates, chocolate box and radio advert!

KS1
In Music, we made beautiful rain tunes with instruments. In Science, we have been exploring different types of paper and we have tried to make our own paper!

KS2
In science this week, we have been finding out about the constellations and our star signs. We made constellation viewers and constellation pictures.

Blackford Bi-Weekly Number 7

KS1
In Science, we have been sorting materials depending on their properties, materials and if they are man-made. We have been learning and using scientific vocabulary.

KS2
In Science, we have been developing our knowledge of the orbit of the Earth to create day and night and how the tilt of the Earth impacts on the seasons.

Blackford Bi-Weekly Number 6

KS1
A fantastic start to the term in Science. We have started our Science topic which is Materials. In Music, we listened to sounds of the rainforest. This week in RE, we looked at what we are thankful for.

KS2
A great start back for KS2. In science, we made a start on our topic ‘Earth and Beyond’, we have looked at the size of the Earth, Sun and Moon. In Art, we have begun designing our own chocolate wrappers.
