Blackford Bi-Weekly Number 4

KS1
A fantastic start to the term in Science. We have started our Science topic which is Materials.

KS2
In science we have worked on separating materials using sieves. In topic we have started to look at coasts and located towns and cities with coastlines.

Blackford Bi-Weekly Number 3

KS1
In History we have discussed and retold the story of the Fire of London. We made the buildings found in London. Then we watched our own version of the fire on the school field!

KS2
We've been investigating the existence of air in science and discovered that we can measure it using balloons, string and rulers! Our dune buggy's have taken shape and will hopefully be completed before half term.

Blackford Bi-Weekly Number 2

KS1
In RE we have been looking at Buddhism and what Buddhists believe. In Science we described the habitat we live in. In Music we have been composing our own pieces on music using instruments.

KS2
In Science we did some investigations into how we can speed up evaporation and if salt water ice melts more quickly than freshwater ice.

Blackford Bi-Weekly Number 1

KS1
In Computing we have been looking at Internet Safety and we will continue to focus on this over this half term. In PE we have been working hard practicing our dance for the U Dance show next week!

KS2
In Art we created pointillist seaside pictures. In Computing we began developing our understanding of email. Our River topic in Geography started with us drawing maps of the local river.
