peter mcgawI started my career as a maths teacher in Nottinghamshire, then became Deputy Head of a Cumbrian Church of England secondary school from where I joined the Cumbria Schools Advisory Service as maths adviser.  I then lead the Primary National Strategy in Cumbria and later became Chief Adviser for Schools and Head of School Improvement in Cumbria.  I am now retired and live in Carlisle with my wife and Staffy dog called Kimi.  I have one daughter, who is a primary teacher in South Cumbria, and two grand daughters one of whom started school in Sept 2016 and the other is aged 3.
