Required from Tuesday 23rd April 2019 - This post is a temporary contract to cover a maternity leave. It is initially part-time (0.6), with the probability of increasing to full-time for part of the contract.

Set in a rural location, the governors of Blackford Church of England Primary School wish to appoint an enthusiastic, talented and highly motivated teacher to work in a KS2 class, based mainly with year 3/4, as part of an experienced and established team.

Our staff, governors and children are seeking someone who:

  • is an excellent, committed and effective class teacher
  • has high expectations of pupil performance and behaviour
  • can make learning exciting, using a cross curricular approach
  • is well organised and able to work as part of a team
  • can uphold the school's values and be sympathetic to the Christian ethos of the school
  • is an effective communicator who is responsive to the needs of the unique child and able to engage parents fully in their children’s educational and personal development.
